Hobnobbing with the Hollywood Elite
Guess where I went Friday night?
Wes and I (along with a few friends from work) went to The Hollywood Bowl to see a taping of A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor. We brought along a yummy picnic dinner (with plenty of Wes' homemade mead!) and enjoyed an evening under the stars.
The surprise of the evening, however, was the guest list. Complementing Garrison Keillor and his compatriots were Meryl Streep, Virginia Madsen and John C. Reilly who were all there to promote the opening of the Prairie Home Companion movie, a Robert Altman flick scheduled to open this coming week. Also present was singer Shelby Lynne who helped with the movie music and sang several beautiful numbers here.
After all the years I've lived here, I've never been to the Bowl. All in all it was a beautiful night.
